Ok the M-Audio Axiom looks hot. On top of that it has those pads hmmm. I wonder if M-Audio has an upgrade policy although I did manage to break the slider while putting it under my bed. Yes I know that the Korg Kontrol has more pads and a nice joystick. This is a one of those things where you would have to try them both to see which one you like better and fit your needs the most.

The M-Audio Axiom like all other midi controllers including the Trigger Finger and Akai MPD24 battle, as soon as you buy one another company will add more bells and whistles. In other words should you get the Axiom I say yes.

Will something come along better? Yes! I just hope they change the usb port to one that’s more snug. When pounding on the keys of the Keystation 49e the sleightest jiggle resets the keyboard forcing one to restart the host program as well. I have the Emu Xboard 25 as well. It’s a nice board but I actually bought it for the Proteus X Le software.

The feel of the pads is nice and you can never live without plenty controllers. Now you can have fun tapping out your patterns instead of twidling the piano keys. This midi controller keyboard is nice and rugged as well so when your playing your music it don’t fell like something that you’ll be breaking. If all you want is a small board to bang out a few riffs or basslines this one could be a nice choice.
